We started our day with reading our poems "We Real Cool" and "Caged Bird." Then, we read I Am Malala and found two new passages for our dialectic journals. Following our DJ's we took a walk around the room and looked at the new resources on our walls which will prepare us for National Novel Writing Month, aka, NaNoWriMo. More about this project can be found at http://ywp.nanowrimo.org. While we were doing this, Ms. Witham was checking our future maps assignment. After, we did a notebook review to remind us of our past assignments.
